Client Spotlight: The Lab Creative

June 16, 2026

This month, we’re spotlighting The Lab Creative, a brand and web studio. We caught up with partner Andy Orr to learn more about what the team is working on, recent wins and what they’re looking forward to as part of the INSPYRE community.

What are you working on right now?

Our team is currently working on a few new larger-scale web projects that are nearly ready to launch. We kind of reworked our workflow ahead of these projects, so it’s been fun to see what works and what we can change to make future projects even faster.

We also just kicked off a pretty large campaign with our partners at Meier’s Creek Brewing Company — a unique beer for each of the ADK High Peaks, in celebration of their new Lake Placid location (big shouts to their Head of Brewing Ops, Jimmy, for pioneering this campaign).

Besides that, we have a few local brand projects we’re excited to see come to life in the Syracuse area this summer. It’s been a super busy year so far, but a great one.

What’s a recent milestone or win for your company?

The studio just won two ADDY Awards for Art Direction and Illustration in the Capital Region. That was pretty special and a literal “win” for us.

Above that, we’ve realized that lately we’re attracting more of the client partnerships that we want to work with rather than chasing those opportunities down. It’s a great feeling when you see a company you’d like to work for, and a few months later they ring your doorbell.

What are you most looking forward to about being part of INSPYRE?

The community environment is the biggest draw for us. I was one of those people who really struggled with the isolation during COVID, and I realized how much I was missing being around people, sharing ideas, hearing what others are up to, etc.

It’s great that Syracuse has a space where we have a community of energetic creatives, as well as the resources and meeting spaces that INSPYRE provides.

What advice would you give to other founders?

First-time founders: You don’t know everything, even if it feels like you do. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or feedback.

And for serial founders: You’ve done this before — try not to repeat your previous mistakes, and spend more time enjoying the process.
