Meet Andy: Systems Thinker, Process Improver & High-Five Enthusiast

December 16, 2025

Andy Obernesser is the kind of person who makes things work better without making a big fuss about it — and does it with a lot of kindness (and high fives 🖐️) along the way.

How Andy helps clients at INSPYRE:
Working behind the scenes to improve systems and processes — from workflows and tech to staff collaboration — all to make sure you have a great experience.

Favorite thing about working at the INSPYRE Innovation Hub:
The energy. There’s a real sense of enthusiasm and optimism, and seeing new connections form between the businesses we serve is incredibly rewarding.

Best thing about living in Syracuse right now:
The snow! ❄️ (It really is beautiful.)

Favorite downtown Syracuse spots:
Story’s and Darwin for sandwiches 🥪
Salt City for coffee ☕
Pasta’s Daily Bread for pizza 🍕

Outside of work:
Fishing, skiing, making (and eating) pizza, and playing the mandolin🎣

Fun fact:
Andy’s dog, Otis, is named after a dog that wandered onstage at a Grateful Dead concert 😉

Best way to connect:
A good, hard high five ✋ … or Slack.
