​NUAIR Alliance, a New York based not-for-profit recently moved into The Tech Garden as expansion plans are currently underway. NUAIR is a coalition consisting of more than 100 private and public entities and academic institutions working together to operate and oversee Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) test ranges in New York, Massachusetts and Michigan. They manage Griffiss International Airport, one of just seven FAA-designated UAS test sites in the United States.

Lawrence Brinker, Executive Director and General Counsel NUAIR Alliance said “We’re thrilled to be a part of The Tech Garden family and look forward to making new colleagues and connections.”NUAIR plans to hire additional personnel to stay ahead of the growing UAS industry including a full-time administrative position, Project Manager and a new President and CEO by the end of 2017. Their new space now serves as their headquarters and occupies 2,625 square footage. NUAIR will provide management services for the Griffiss International Airport UAS Test Site, manage the State of New York investment in the unmanned traffic management corridor as well as operate the UAS verification and validation facility, NUSTAR.

GENIUS NY, happening until the end of 2017 at The Tech Garden, is the world’s largest accelerator competition for the UAS industry with funding up to $2.75 million. NUAIR will provide mentoring for the six teams with technologies ranging from drone platforms, autonomous flight, asset inspection, and commercial drone training.
