January 10, 2025

The world’s largest accelerator for uncrewed systems is back. GENIUS NY Round 9 is officially accepting applications through May 28, 2025, offering five tech startups the chance to receive a combined $3 million in funding—including a $1 million grand prize.

Backed by Empire State Development and operated by CenterState CEO, GENIUS NY is a game-changing, in-residence accelerator designed to attract world-class innovation to Central New York’s fast-growing UAS and advanced air mobility ecosystem. Finalists will receive funding, mentoring, and access to a newly renovated INSPYRE Innovation Hub—featuring a brand-new hardware center, drone demo deck, and expanded programming.

Since 2017, the program has invested nearly $24 million in 42 companies from around the world, helping them raise over $350 million in follow-on funding.

Startups working in drones, automation, data analytics, smart city tech, sensors, or advanced air mobility are encouraged to apply. Participants must commit to operating in Central New York for at least one year.
