GENIUS NY Round 9 with NewsChannel 9: Applications Are Open—Here’s What You Need to Know

February 5, 2025

CenterState CEO’s Kara Jones, Director of Programs & Engagement for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, recently joined NewsChannel 9 to spotlight the launch of GENIUS NY Round 9, one of the world’s largest accelerator programs for uncrewed systems, robotics, and beyond.

“We’re looking for innovative, tech-driven companies that are ready to grow fast,” said Jones. “While drones are a huge part of GENIUS, the program supports a wide range of emerging technologies—from robotics to AI and smart systems.”

The competitive program awards $3 million in investment annually, with one grand prize of $1 million. It also includes mentorship, space, resources, and direct access to the region’s powerful UAS ecosystem—including the nation’s first FAA-designated drone corridor.

If your startup is looking for serious support, a tight-knit founder community, and the chance to scale inside a nationally recognized hub for innovation—GENIUS NY is the place to start.
