First Ever Startup Night at The Tech Garden Highlights Local Innovation – Pitches, Updates and GENIUS NY 2020 Finalists Revealed

The Tech Garden held its first annual Startup Night and Holiday Party that included announcing the GENIUS NY 2020 finalists; member updates from 20 startups; facility tours; networking; and a 2019 Tech Garden review. More than 100 people attended the inaugural event.
Members that presented included teams from the GENIUS NY and The Clean Tech Center accelerators, including Adam Fine, Dropcopter; Kristin Mannion, The Alvina Group; Brian Streem, Vermeer; Chuck Storman, Acumen Detection; Greg Walker, PreVision; Josh Jenson, Blurpop; Jon Byrd, EagleHawk; Joe Dunaway, Knifehand Nutrition; Seth Major, Hestia; Paul Mutolo, Standard Hydrogen; Saïf-Deen Akanni, Sentient Blue; Peter Burr, The Mall App; Rachel Rosen, WexEnergy; Jon Thies, SkyOp; John Mansfield, 5R; Robi Banerjee, Moxi; Don Berchoff, TruWeather Solutions; Liav Muler, CivDrone; and James Morrison, Edison Innovative Power.Rick Clonan, VP of innovation and entrepreneurship for CenterState CEO, updated attendees on The Tech Garden’s 2019 accomplishments, which included welcoming 26 news members, hosting more than 60 events, building a new hardware center for light-assembly manufacturing, and announcing plans to expand the build with the addition of two new floors.
