Sweets for Babe to Celebrate Grand Opening of First Café

July 23, 2025

Sweets for Babe, a beloved Syracuse dessert favorite known for its handcrafted banana puddings, is opening its first brick-and-mortar café—and you’re invited to the celebration! An Up Start client working with INSPYRE small business manager Erik Jankowski, Sweets for Babe is hosting a grand opening and exclusive reception on Friday, July 25 at 5:25 p.m. at 217 South Salina Street (lower level, enter through Wildflowers on E. Fayette).

Founded on the idea that dessert should be both nostalgic and elevated, Sweets for Babe has earned a strong local following with its made-to-order offerings and high-quality ingredients. The event will feature complimentary tastings, live music, a ribbon-cutting, photo ops, and a preview of seasonal and specialty offerings. All are welcome—especially press, bloggers, and community supporters—to help celebrate this sweet milestone.
